Dust Networks to provide a low power Mote-on-Chip
Thursday, January 18th, 2007Dust Networks announced a network-ready System-on-Chip (SoC) product that combines extremely low-power radio technology and robust networking capabilities using the Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) in a Mote-on-Chip (MoC), leading to new power and performance benchmarks for reliable wireless sensor networking.
Their MoC products provide an 80% reduction in power consumption when compared to commercially available radios. Comercial 802.15.4 standard 2.4 GHz samples are expected early 2007. More details here.
