EWSN 2009/CONET Scientific Awards
The results for this year EWSN /CONET Best Paper, Master and PhD Thesis Awards were released at the conference dinner in the Aula Maxima (1849) at the University College Cork, on Thursday Feb 12th, 2009.
Results are as follows:
Academic Master Thesis Award: Ricardo Severino for his work “On the use of IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee for Time-Sensitive Wireless Sensor Network Applications”.
Industry PhD Thesis Award: Oliver Amft for his PhD Thesis “Automatic dietary monitoring using on-body sensors”.
Academic PhD Thesis Award: Luca Mottola for his PhD thesis: Programming Wireless Sensor Networks: From Physical to Logical Neighborhoods (14.2MB).
Best Paper Award: Multi-Hop Cluster Hierarchy Maintenance in Wireless Sensor Networks: A Case for Gossip-Based Protocols Konrad Iwanicki and Maarten van Steen
